Hey everybody! Today we woke up really early. We and our bags were in the lobby at 7:30am. We finished breakfast and set off for the Dunbrody famine ship. The Dunbrody was a really interesting experience. In a way, we really wished that we went before the opera, but it was amazing to find out how close our portrayal was. We each got a ticket that had a name of a real person who went on the Dunbrody. We “met” a few people (actors) on the ship and learned a lot about the Irish hardships.
On our way to Dublin we stopped for sandwiches; it was a nice break. Some people stretched their legs and some people just sat on the bus. We finally got to Dublin and drove past U2’s hotel, the Clarence Hotel, and their van was outside!
We dropped our stuff at the hostel (it is really nice) and went to O’Shea’s where we enjoyed a lovely meal.
Riverdance was awesome. I had no idea it was possible to move your legs that fast. The musicians were also extremely talented.
Missing you all lots. Be home soon.
